Each cottage has 65m2. The cottages are semi detached and each is private. Cottages can be booked together or separately and accommodate 4 to 7 persons together. Each cottage has a separate bedroom with AC and mosquito net, a generous open plan lounge/dining area with mobile kitchen island and a work space. Each bathroom has a shower and bath tub, A separate toilet and walk-in storage space. Clever design ensures climate control and well ventilated living space. The view from both cottages is dominated by the awesome mountain peaks and into the lowveld and Kruger National Park. Modernly furnished and tastefully decorated, each cottage has a private patio and garden and braai facility.
The cottages are self-catering and well equipped with basics such as olive and sunflower oil, spices, vinegar, filter coffee and nescafe, rooibos and black tea, milk and sugar. The fully equipped kitchen has gas stove and microwave oven, and basic cleaning materials, Hair dryer, ceiling fan, air-conditioning, mosquito net in bed room, dining table and chairs.
Kampersrus is 26 km outside of Hoedspruit. The village is nestled at the foot of the southern Drakensberg mountain range, Mariepskop dominates. At the entrance of Kampersrus are shops, fuel station and restaurants. There are approximately 500 bird species found here and it is possible to walk in unique rain forest at estimated 1900meters above sea level ….ancient and pristine.

Area Information
By virtue of location the village of Kampersrus AH has its own special and more temperate climate, at the foot of the mountains.
There is said to be approximately 500 bird species found in Hoedspruit and it is possible to walk in unique rain forest at estimated 1900meters above sea level. An enormous view of the Blyde dam, an ancient site, and the confluence of the Klasserie and Olifant’s rivers presents from the top of Mariepskop. Plant life up there is unique and in harmony with the surrounds. Reserved for high clearance vehicles.
The area is home to all five indigenous species of primate. In bush land it is not unusual to find bushbuck and other smaller antelope wander by, as well as a host of small inhabitants. To list all activities within easy reach would take some length, a feast.

- A final cleaning fee of R 300 for a week stay and a month stay
- Weekly Rate R1000/night + cleaning fee (minimum 5 nights stay)
- Monthly Rate R700/night + 1 cleaning fee (minimum 28 nights)
- Monthly rate includes cleaning and change of linen and towels once a week

We have gathered information for you to facilitate your sojourn and make it an exciting and rewarding experience. we are a mere 30km away from Hoedspruit. Excursions can be arranged or self-booked, and the choice is vast. Including game drives in the Kruger Park in the morning, Sundowner Safaris, Olifant’s River raft safaris, excursions to the Blyde River Canyon with its many attractions here in Hoedspruit, Safaris in private game parks, the Moholoholo animal rehabilitation center, an early morning balloon flight, horse riding, and more.
Ukuthula cottages are located on a 2 hectare private setting in the village of Kampersrus. Moholoholo animal rehabilitation centre complex (Stoffel qv) is 1 km away. We are in short radius of many attractions such as the Blyde Canyon (third deepest in the world), the famous Panorama tour with its attraction God´s window, Bourke´s Luck Potholes and Lisbon Falls. The Blyde dam and hiking trails are approx. 6km away. The Endangered species centre, the Reptile Park, Nyani cultural village and tribal dance shows (A cultural experience) (by arrangement). Then on to Orpen rd. and the Kruger National Park. Horse riding and game drives can be arranged upon request.
